The Opportunity: Your Next Adventure Awaits?
Within EY our Indirect Tax Advisory department provides companies with support and advice on indirect taxes such as VAT, certain green taxes (e.g. (plastic) packaging taxes and extended producer responsibility) and local & regional taxes (e.g. immovable withholding tax due on buildings and industrial equipment, display taxes, taxes on establishments) in relation to their entire business. Our focus is on the aforementioned indirect taxes advisory in our client’s daily activities. Next to that, we are seeking operational efficiencies for our clients as well as measures for improving their working capital.
Examples include VAT optimization of their real estate, setting up VAT groups, reviewing and automating the VAT set-up in their ERP systems, implementing electronic invoicing (and archiving solutions) taking the upcoming local legal initiatives into account, tax effective supply chain management, optimization from an immovable withholding tax point of view, mapping extended producer responsibility in different countries, mapping reporting obligations from a (plastic) packaging tax perspective,… Equally so, the team assists companies in their dealings with internal indirect taxes procedures and exposures. We have clients in all industry sectors as well as in the governmental and non profit sector.
Through our international network across the globe, our support covers domestic and international tax matters in all countries needed. In the fast changing international (tax) landscape with plenty of economic and political pressure, we use our expertise and network to guide our clients in risk mitigation, planning, compliance and controversy.
Today’s tax planning blends technology and business acumen to focus on consistency, compliance and the organization’s strategic objectives. Careful tax planning is critical for business success in an unpredictable global economy
